Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 10, 2026
Your privacy matters. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what data Egypt Gold Sweets ("the App") and its publisher Egypt Gold Sweets developed by Apollo Dev Tech ("we," "our," or "us") handle when you use the App. We have built Egypt Gold Sweets as an offline cookbook, so the list is short on purpose — but we still want you to see every item that leaves your device.
1. Introducing This Policy
Before listing what we do collect, let us be clear about what we do not do:
- We do not require an account, sign-in, or password.
- We do not read or upload your recipe collection, your daily streak, or the photos you save in My Bake.
- We do not sell your data, build advertising profiles about you, or share your information with data brokers.
- We do not run any in-app advertising and do not display ads from third parties inside the App.
What we do collect is limited to a small set of identifiers and device settings used to deliver localized notifications, measure how new users discover the App, and keep our infrastructure running. Each item is described below.
2. Collecting Information
2.1 Collecting Information Automatically
The first time you launch the App and from time to time afterwards, the following data is generated, read, or transmitted:
| What | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| An anonymous identifier generated on your device | To distinguish one installation from another so we can de-duplicate analytics events; never tied to your name or email | Stored on your device; shared with our attribution partner (see 2.4) |
| Your device's language and region setting | To display the App and any notifications in your preferred language | Stored on your device; shared with our notifications service (see 2.3) and our attribution partner (see 2.4) |
| Whether you have accepted this Privacy Policy | So the App does not ask again on subsequent launches | Stored on your device only — never transmitted |
2.2 Using the Built-in Browser
The App opens this Privacy Policy and the Support page in a browser screen embedded inside the App itself. That browser supports cookies (including third-party cookies) and local storage in the same way any standard mobile browser does. The App itself does not read or upload anything from that browser — but websites you reach through it operate under their own privacy practices, which you should review independently.
2.3 Sending Push Notifications
The App can deliver push notifications (for example, reminders about your recipe streak). Notifications are powered by OneSignal, a third-party push delivery service.
| What | Why | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| A unique subscription identifier created for your device | So OneSignal can route a notification to your specific device | App + OneSignal |
| Your device's language tag | So you receive notifications in the right language | App + OneSignal |
| Your device push token, model, OS version, carrier, app version, timezone, and approximate country derived from your IP address | Standard data the OneSignal service collects when registering a device for delivery | OneSignal |
Notification permission is requested at runtime on Android 13 and above; you can deny or revoke it at any time. Notification text itself comes from OneSignal's servers and is shown to you — it is not stored by the App.

2.4 Measuring Install Attribution
To understand how new users discover the App (organic install, ad campaign, partner referral, etc.) we use AppsFlyer, a third-party mobile attribution service.
| What | Why | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| Your Google Advertising ID | To match your install with the campaign that brought you to the App | App + AppsFlyer |
| Attribution source and campaign name | To know whether you arrived organically or via a marketing campaign | App + AppsFlyer |
| An AppsFlyer installation identifier | So AppsFlyer can de-duplicate events from the same install | AppsFlyer |
| Google Play install referrer | Tells AppsFlyer how you arrived at the App's Play Store listing | AppsFlyer |
| The anonymous identifier described in 2.1 | To tie installation analytics events to a single device | App + AppsFlyer |
| Standard device telemetry (IP address, device model, OS version) | Collected by AppsFlyer as part of its standard operation | AppsFlyer |
You can reset your Google Advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising at any time in Settings > Google > Ads on your Android device. Doing so does not stop the App from working.

2.5 Storing Your Cookbook Locally
Everything you do inside the App — your recipe collection, daily streak, daily pick, scarab wheel spins, pyramid-slot history, and the photos and notes you add to My Bake — is stored only on your device. None of this data is uploaded to us, shared with any third party, or used for any purpose other than running the App for you on your device.
You can erase all of it instantly through Settings > Delete My Cookbook Data inside the App, or by clearing the App's storage from your device's system settings.
2.6 Adding a Photo to My Bake
The My Bake journal lets you attach a single photo to any recipe page. When you tap the photo button, you can either pick an existing image from your photo library or take a new one with your device's camera.
- The photo is saved to a private folder belonging to the App on your device.
- It is never uploaded to us, never shared with any third party, and never used for analytics or any other purpose.
- You can remove an attached photo at any time from the recipe page, or wipe every saved photo at once via the Delete My Cookbook Data option in Settings.
2.7 Sending a Support Message
The Support / Contact page (reached from the App's Settings screen) opens inside the built-in browser described in 2.2 and contains a contact form. Filling out and submitting that form is entirely optional. When you do submit it, the form may carry:
- Your name and email address
- The message you typed
- An optional file attachment — you can take a photo or video using your device's camera, or pick an existing screenshot, image, PDF, or text file through your device's file picker
Photo or video capture for that attachment is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app — the App does not access your camera directly for this purpose. The information in the form is used only to reply to you and resolve the issue you reported.
3. Using The Information We Collect
We use the small set of data described in section 2 only for the following purposes:
- Delivering the App's core experience (daily recipe, scarab wheel, pyramid slot, royal collection, streak)
- Sending push notifications you have agreed to receive
- Measuring how new users discover the App (install attribution)
- Diagnosing crashes, fixing bugs, and improving the App over time
- Responding to support messages you choose to send us
We do not use your data for behavioral advertising beyond the install attribution described in 2.4, and we do not run any profiling, scoring, or automated decision-making about you.
4. Sharing Information With Third Parties
The only third parties that receive data described in this policy are:
- OneSignal — push notification delivery (see 2.3). Privacy policy
- AppsFlyer — install attribution (see 2.4). Privacy policy
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We do not share data with advertisers, ad networks, data brokers, or social media platforms.
5. Retaining Data
| Data | How long it is kept |
|---|---|
| Anonymous identifier on your device | Until you uninstall the App or clear its storage |
| Recipe collection, streak, daily pick, My Bake photos and notes | Until you delete them from inside the App, uninstall, or clear app storage |
| Cookies and local storage in the built-in browser | Standard browser expiration rules; cleared when you clear App storage |
| Google Advertising ID | Managed by Google Play Services; you may reset it at any time |
| AppsFlyer installation identifier and attribution data | Retained by AppsFlyer per its retention policy |
| OneSignal subscription identifier and registration data | Retained by OneSignal per its retention policy |
| Support messages you send us | Kept only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, then deleted |
6. Securing Information
All data the App transmits over the network is sent over HTTPS using standard transport encryption. Data stored on your device — including My Bake photos and your recipe collection — lives in the App's private storage area, which other apps cannot read on a properly configured device. No system is perfectly secure, but we use industry-standard measures and we limit transmitted data to the minimum needed.
7. Exercising Your Rights And Choices
Because almost everything stays on your device, you have direct control:
- Erase all your cookbook data — Settings > Delete My Cookbook Data inside the App.
- Reset the anonymous installation identifier — uninstall the App, or clear App storage from your device's system settings.
- Reset your Google Advertising ID or opt out of personalized advertising — Settings > Google > Ads on Android.
- Revoke push notification permission — Settings > Apps > Egypt Gold Sweets > Notifications on Android.
- Revoke camera or photo library access — your device's app permissions screen.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of any data we hold — write to the contact email at the end of this policy. Because most data is on your device, the fastest way to delete it is to uninstall the App.
8. Protecting Children's Privacy
The App is rated for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at the email address below and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changing This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the App's first launch after the update so you can review them before continuing to use the App.
10. Contacting Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, want to exercise any of the rights described above, or simply want to tell us what you think, write to [email protected].
